This software can be installed on any PC on your network. It must be able to make calls via ODBC to your PSQL server. The installation file includes Apache web server and MySQL database and should not be installed on any computer that is already running this software. A password is required to run the install program. The password will be emailed to you along with the download link.
This download is 25MB. The Trial expires in 30 days. The "readme.txt" file that opens at the end of the installation process has instructions on how to set up ODBC on both the server and the client computer. If you have used Crystal Reports, Access or Excel reporting with your Evo/DBA data then you probably have the connection established already. The "readme.txt" file also contains instructions for the setup of the local environment, including company info and adding users.
Once installed, access to the application can be shared across your network. Other users on the network can enter the IP address of the computer and the folder name (e.g. http://10.1.2.122/evo2web/) to reach the application while it is running.
Although this Trial is restricted in where it can be installed and used, the full version, when purchased, is delivered with a custom installation setup that allows use on any Intranet server, or any network server, including your PSQL server, if you choose.
